Youth & Family Services
Strengthening families is a priority for Catholic Charities. Children and young adults sometimes separate from their extended families in their countries of origin, and migrate to the United States for various reasons. They may:
– Be victims of human trafficking.
– Enter the U.S. without documentation or documents that grant temporary asylum.
– Receive refugee status but have no guardians to care for them.
– Come from Haiti and receive permission to live and work in the U.S. temporarily because of the difficulties in their homeland.
Catholic Charities offers Youth and Family Services to assist undocumented children and children with refugee status who enter the United States alone, and Haitian families living temporarily in South Florida.
