Emergency Financial Assistance

Catholic Charities Emergency Services provides assistance and appropriate referrals to individuals and families in the tri-county area to prevent homelessness, or rapidly re-house homeless and individuals.

Services offered include:

• Rent/mortgage assistance
• Food vouchers
• Utility assistance
• Case management including assessment and referrals

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be a resident of Miami-Dade
• Be homeless or at risk of homelessness
• Must have a notice of eviction or late payment for rent/mortgage, and/or utility
• Provide proof of hardship

• Linkages to Care matches individuals and families to community resources.
• Provides short-term assistance when funding is available.
• Partnered with Broward County we provide management and rapid permanent housing placement for homeless families.
• The Agency is very committed to those living with HIV and the newly diagnosed in need of assistance.
• Rental assistance to prevent eviction, move-in assistance along with food and diaper vouchers are provided
